JoPACC and Al al-Bayt University (AABU) sign an MoU to empower students in the field of financial technology

The Jordan Payments and Clearing Company (JoPACC) and Al al-Bayt University (AABU) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on 22 December 2025 in order to enable innovative and entrepreneurial students in the financial technology (fintech) sector to enhance their knowledge and encourage them to create innovative products and services that advance digital transformation within the Kingdom. 

This memorandum aims to provide AABU university students with the opportunity to benefit from the student programs within JOIN Fincubator, JoPACC’s established fintech incubator, including national hackathons, internship programs, and diverse fintech training courses. 

The agreement was signed by Ms. Maha Bahou, CEO of the Jordan Payments and Clearing Company (JoPACC), and Prof. Dr. Ahmad Al Alawneh, Deputy President of the university, acting on behalf of the University President Prof. Dr. Osama Nuseir. 
 During the signing ceremony, Ms. Bahou emphasized the importance of signing this agreement, based on her absolute conviction in the potential of the youth and the need to equip them with the necessary knowledge and tools to unleash their potential and creativity in the field of financial technology. She also emphasized the importance of providing specialized programs targeting university students in particular to help them develop their fintech ideas, innovations, and projects.

As part of the Fintech Day organized by Al al-Bayt University, Ms. Bahou also delivered a keynote speaker session to students and faculty members, during which she provided an in-depth overview of JoPACC, its role in developing and operating national payment systems, and its contribution to advancing Jordan’s digital payments ecosystem. She further highlighted JOIN Fincubator’s role in supporting fintech innovation by empowering entrepreneurs, startups, and students to develop scalable and impactful fintech solutions that contribute to the growth of the financial technology sector in Jordan.
